There’s no such thing as The Perfect Plan. Not for your life, for your business, or for your day.

Going after perfection sets us up for those moments when everything goes up in flames, and we feel like setting the rest of it on fire (and not in a good way).

For service-based business owners, this quest is compounded by the pressure we put on ourselves to give, give, and give some more. So any chink in our armor that we don’t take care of as soon as it forms? It can bring the whole thing down.

Businesses built on service, such as holistic practice, health and wellness care, mental health work, spiritual guidance, and coaching, have one thing in common: they tend to blur the boundaries between our “selves” and our work. It’s completely natural–because this work is so heart centered.

The tendency to deny or judge our own desires as selfish, putting others’ needs ahead of our own, leads to resentment, frustration, and burnout. And it happens all the time.

What we do have the potential and capacity to create, though, is A Plan.

God has placed a divine design for the life and business you want in your heart. That’s why you do what you do. It’s why you’re here, seeking out answers and solutions to burnout, a better business strategy, or a stagnant bank account.

Let’s take the leap.

5 Signs It’s Time to Embody Your Authentic Essence in Your Business

You might have a feeling of unease about the way your business operates or the way you relate to it. For many service-based business owners, the source of that unease can be challenging to pinpoint. Here are a few signs to look out for.

  1. Resentment.Resentment can take several forms, including a feeling of being ill at ease and increased difficulty working with certain clients or coworkers. Before the week begins, you might notice that you haven’t recovered from the last week and you’re tired of everyone expecting things from you that you don’t have to give.
  2. Doing “all the things.”“Fine, I’ll take care of it myself.” (The not-so-distant cousin of resentment.) Notice whether you’re taking over processes, projects, or tasks that could be delegated to someone else on your team, or, if you’re a solopreneur, outsourced to someone else. This leaves you with no margin of time or energy to do the things that matter most to you or that move the needle forward towards your goals in your business.
  3. Regret. One of the most common ways regret shows up is with your offers. Maybe you’ve even invested in advertising or marketing for an offer that no longer lights you up. Take a look at your packaging, your offer list, and your pricing, and notice where things seem…off.
  4. Taking on certain clients because you feel you “need to.”Struggling with lead generation? Stagnant e-mail list? Attracting clients that don’t see your value or that may not be the best fit for what you do? All of these issues can be signs that your messaging doesn’t fully align with who you are and what you want to be doing.
  5. Low profits or limited capacity to scale.Scaling your service-based business may not be a top priority, but for those who do want to bring on a team of practitioners, scale your impact, or even create new branches of revenue, feeling stuck within this process may indicate a core misalignment. In other words? Your essence might be missing – and therefore, so is your magnetism!

So what’s next? Clarifying and creating your vision for your mission-driven company!

When you allow yourself to be guided in clarifying and creating your vision from your deepest desires, Godly wisdom and discernment, and aligned with the life you want to be living, Magic happens.

Creative business strategy flows from your intentions with ease and joy.

Your inner transformation translates into fundamental, powerful changes in your business.

Your confidence grows. Your time expands. And your energy reignites!

Your mission-driven business begins to serve you, too!

Often, transformative business coaches prescribe working on a money mindset alone to address some of the difficulties above. But a shift in money mindset is only a part of what happens when you deeply align your business with your true purpose, essence, and deepest desires.

Once you accept and begin to embody – beyond intellectual understanding – that your inheritance is abundance, you begin making choices that engage a more expansive and powerful money mindset as part of a much greater transformation within you.

Equip Yourself To Lead A Business That Aligns with Your Purpose and Passion

  1. Hire a business transformation coach. Not only will you earn back your investment and multiply it, you will learn the tools, skills, and practices necessary to create the shifts you want in your business and life. Even with all the podcast episodes, books, and connections you can fit into your schedule, nothing creates impact like real transformation from the inside out, especially when an expert guide facilitates that transformation.
  2. Acknowledge, own, and align with your desires. This is not to be done in a vacuum! Don’t underestimate the value of the structure, support, and accountability of working with a coach who recognizes the unique heart of a professional like you. A coach can guide you to clarify what you really want, discern the most easeful and enjoyable way to achieve your goals effectively, and realign when you are giving from a depleted, obligated you rather than serving from a nourished, overflowing YOU.
  3. Clear blockages and barriers. The right coaching relationship is a best-fit combination of spirit, mind, and body truths, tools, and practices to clear what’s in your way–for good. You will be empowered to transform your survival based patterns and programs that are exhausting and hindering you from all that you were created to be! Imagine unleashing your inner Jedi Warrior!
  4. Create and work your strategic plan. So many programs start here. This isn’t the beginning; it’s the endgame. A strategic plan aligned with your vision and your inner wisdom, attuned to your natural desires and rhythms, and defined by clear action steps that feel easeful and enjoyable to you…that’s most effective when you can show up freely and fully in the authentic essence of YOU.

When you engage in this process, you learn to:

  • Lead from your true identity
  • Harness God’s power in you to create what you were designed for
  • Enjoy ease, flow, and abundance as you align with your purpose and passion
  • Create the freedom to enjoy your life!
